Martin County High School Chapter of

BEST BUDDIES HIGH SCHOOLS

Enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities –

one friendship at a time.

Through Best Buddies, high school students are matched in a one-to-one friendship with a student that has an intellectual disability.  Buddy pairs spend the year getting to know one another, sharing similar interests…becoming Best Buddies!

As a Peer Buddy, your commitment requires:

*         Getting together with your “Buddy” twice a month (going to movies, shopping, hanging out during lunch, etc.)

*         Contacting your “Buddy” once a week (chatting on the phone, online, sending an e-mail, sending notes, etc.)

*         Attend monthly Chapter Meetings (usually during A & B lunches)

*         Participate in our group activities (building Homecoming Float,  Movie Night, Golf World, etc.)

*         DESIRE TO HAVE FUN!!!

For more information on how you can become a Best Buddy, contact Mrs. Patti Crooks in Room M14 at or Mr. Richard Clynes in Room M16, or call 219-1800 x 32317, or check us out on the web at www.bestbuddies.org
